Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Work Hours:  .625 F.T.E, hourly, non-exempt. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Summary: Local Government Law Group P.C. is a law firm with six attorneys located in
downtown Eugene, OR. We represent cities and special districts throughout Oregon. We value
teamwork, quality over quantity, and strong client relationships. The Administrative Assistant
performs a variety of duties to support communications and operations while demonstrating
commitment to integrity and excellence.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Open office daily at 8:00 a.m.
  • Answer and route phone calls. Accurately communicate messages
  • Support office visitors by greeting, answering questions, and fulfilling requests
  • Develop and maintain systems: office and kitchen supply ordering and inventory, petty
    cash, vendor coordination, postage, safety, office appearance, plant care
  • Coordinate meetings and schedule appointments
  • Type letters, memos, and legal documents as assigned
  • Complete filing, copying, binding, scanning as assigned
  • Perform errands and deliveries as needed
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes
  • Provide payroll, billing, and accounts payable support
  • Support team building, staff enrichment, and company event planning
  • Ensure operation of equipment by troubleshooting errors, completing preventative
    maintenance requirements, scheduling repairs, and maintaining equipment inventory
  • Support firm marketing initiatives and online footprint as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Complete special projects as needed

  • Prior office or administrative experience required
  • Polite and professional communication style

  • Proficient with Microsoft software (Office, Outlook, Teams)

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to sit and use a computer for long periods of time
  • Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
